Garden Photography Field Kit & 2026 Garden Workshops

Lori Lankford

A Garden Photographer’s Field Kit will teach you how to scout the right scenes, work with the time of day, simplify busy spaces, and build a sequence of images that tells the story of the garden.

Halfway through, I’ll also share details on two small-group workshops I’m teaching with Into The Wild We Go: Connecticut (summer) and Brandywine Valley (fall).

Leave with a plan for your next garden visit — and a simple sequence that makes your images feel like a true walk through the garden.

Recording shared to all, but attendees receive special garden toolkit and editing tools!

Lori Lankford, Webinar Host

Gardener, Professional Photography, Instructor

I’m a garden and flower photographer who’s spent years photographing some of the world’s most beautiful gardens—always chasing light, texture, and the quiet details that most people walk past. My work has been recognized by the International Garden Photographer of the Year and featured in many publications. I teach photographers how to create images that feel both artful and true to the garden itself—whether you’re shooting a famous estate or a small backyard border.

Much of my photography is created in my English cutting garden and potting shed. I aim to reveal hidden details and evoke emotion through close-up, macro, and abstract photography—capturing the expected in unexpected ways.

I love helping others discover new ways of seeing, whether through editing, light-pad photography, or my signature year-long program, A Year of Creative Photography.

For me, photography is about learning, growing, and embracing both the light and the shadows.
